Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem™ combines traditional South American face massage techniques with South East Asian time-honoured treatment systems and incorporates the stimulation of acupressure points around the face and head. Each treatment is specifically tailored to a patient’s needs aiming to rebalance meridians, reduce stress and improve energy flow through the body hence nudging the body to better health.

The treatments are non-invasive, stimulating and profoundly relaxing as the nerve points activated are so close to the brain unlike foot reflexology where messages have a lot further to travel.

Gentle stimulation of the nerve points and facial muscles allows the central nervous system and the brain to relax completely, allowing access to a deep meditative and healing state. This state of relaxation benefits the balancing of the body’s important neurotransmitters, endorphins and hormones around the body as well as allowing greater harmony between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

One or more treatments can quickly transform the quality of sleep, increase energy and improve mood and self-esteem but many conditions and symptoms can be ameliorated.

The face and skin will be left glowing from improved blood flow, muscles and facial tissue are toned and puffiness and lines are reduced thanks to lymphatic stimulation. Facial Muscle Stimulation can also be added to the treatment for a natural face lift, greater muscle tone and helpful in cases of facial nerve damage.

What is in a treatment?

Treatments usually take about an hour allowing for time to make a detailed assessment of a client’s state of health and to put together a unique plan for treatment in order to address an individual’s needs.

The treatment is performed whilst lying down and natural organic rosehip oil is used as an emollient for the skin (there are many additional benefits and qualities to using organic rosehip oil). Make up is removed during the treatment so it is best to, either, keep it to a minimum and or bring additional make up to-apply after the treatment. For men a clean shave is preferable, but not essential, due to pulling of the gentle massaging and working of the skin.

A single treatment is above all very relaxing able to target some recent aches and pains. For more chronic problems a series of weekly treatments is preferable (approximately five consecutive treatments).

Treatment charges:

  • Single treatments: 1hr £45
  • Series of treatments: 3x1hr £100 or 5x1hr £150
  • All series of treatments will be paid at the start of any treatment. Any longer treatment charges can be negotiated on an individual basis.

    Combining treatments:

As an energetic healing system Facial Reflexology combines beautifully with Thai Yoga Massage as well as with homeopathic treatment. It may be very beneficial for the treatment of certain conditions to consider combining these systems enhancing and benefitting long term improved wellbeing.
